Questions & Answers

For what age is the project suitable?
Any student in grades 6–7 can take part in the project.
Will every participant receive a certificate?
At the end of the competitions, all participants receive certificates and Top -10 will receive gifts.
How to register?
To join the programme, the student needs to register using the form located below (scroll down) and receive a link to your personal account straight to your inbox.
How to take the entrance test?
After registering on the GIOS platform, you will receive a mail (sent to the registration email) with a link to complete the entrance test.
I didn't receive access details to the personal email.
Each participant should receive an email to their registration address and a message containing the password and the link to the entrance test. Please check your inbox and the Spam folder. If you did not receive the email, contact the platform coordinator at: +380-067-62-000-44 (WhatsApp)
Will this project help my child understand maths better?
Remember how important it is at school for the teacher to spark interest in the subject? We've done everything to make GIOS engaging and exciting for students. We use gamification, interactivity, animation, real-life examples, and tasks that develop critical thinking. That's why children enjoy learning maths with GIOS — and our learning effectiveness rate is 89%.
How does the learning process work?
The course consists of topics, and each topic contains 3 lessons. Every lesson has two parts: Theory — an animated interactive video lesson (4–5 minutes), diagrams, and examples of typical problems. Practice — interactive tasks of different difficulty levels.
Can I participate if my child is already studying on GIOS?
Yes, you can. However, to join the project you must create a new account (using a new email). If you have a Gmail address, you can use the same email with any number added via "+" before @ (e.g., shevchenko@gmail.com = shevchenko+1@gmail.com).
Why are my points not shown in the ranking?
The platform updates statistics throughout the day, so points do not appear in the leaderboard immediately. Refresh the ranking each morning to see the latest points and your current position on the leaderboard.
How do I get an access code?
To start learning within PlayMath Together: UA & UK, you do not need an access code. You only need to register using the form below and follow the link that will be sent to your e-mail.
When will the winners be announced? How will they receive the results?
The winners will be announced on the 13th of February. Competition results will be sent to your email.
My email isn't accepted during registration. What should I do?
This may happen if you have already registered with this email for the project or previously created an account on the GIOS platform. Please use a different email address in this case. If you forgot your password, please use this password recovery form.
I can't access the student's personal account. I only see the registration button. How do I return to the cabinet?
The link to access your personal account will be sent to your email after registration.
How are the student winners determined?

The maximum score is formed from:

  • completed core tasks,
  • the entrance and final tests,
  • and bonus (additional, applied) tasks.

Core and bonus tasks can be completed twice to improve the result. When a task is repeated, its content changes, and the platform records whichever score is higher.

To ensure fair participation for students of all grades, progress indicators are standardised using coefficients (amount of material completed and accuracy of solutions).

If several participants receive the same score, the higher ranking is given to the student who completed the tasks faster / earlier.

Leaderboard scores are recalculated automatically every night, allowing students to see their up-to-date position in the ranking in their personal account.

Final results are calculated and published within 4 days after the competition ends.
